El Castillo Golf Resort is a luxury development located in the beautiful wine making region of Jumilla, in the Murcia province. Murcia is known locally as the ´market garden of Spain´ due to its rich soil and warm climate it makes the ideal growing conditions for all types of citrus fruits, vegetables and of course grapes.
Jumilla is a typical Spanish town with lovely cobbled streets in the old town and all the local amenities you need including shops, bars, restaurants and local schools. The drive from Murcia Airport takes approx 1 hour 30 mins through breath taking countryside. The vineyards used for the famous local wines of the region run all along the side of the road and the peaceful drive takes you up through the mountains to the development.
El Casillo is built around an old Spanish Hacienda which still remains today, this Spanish theme has been continued throughout the development. All properties are built along wide roads with palm trees and ornamental lighting and in the centre their is a town square where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
