Benalmadena

So, you think that you know Benalmadena? But my guess is that you have only experienced it from a tourist perspective and have never actually
traversed it's village side streets, the hub of Benalmadena where it started.
Benalmadena cleverly embraced tourism in the seventies but the little white village where it all began still remains intact whilst the locals
enjoy the benefits that tourism has brought to the area.
Today, Benalmadena is the perfect place for families and retirees alike. People remain loyal to it after holidaying here for the past three
decades, they finally fulfill their dreams and take up permanant residence. Even those who have never holidayed in the area quickly realise how
much the place has going for it.
From an entertainment point of view there is the children's favourite theme park Tivoli World, which was
once upon a time, a once in a lifetime treat for Spanish children all over Spain. There are too many attractions to name but some of the most
noteworthy are the excellent Selwo Marina, the Cable Car with it's stunning views and the very well tended Parque de Paloma (Paloma Park) which
fills up with Spanish families at the weekend who enjoy picnics and feed the ducks on the lake their leftovers.
Transport links are excellent in Benalmadena and both Fuengirola and Torremolinos are within easy access by bus.
Benalmadena has a happy holiday vibe and boasts an excellent infrastructure.
