La Duquesa is located in the municipality of Manilva. It is a relaxed, down to earth living environment, popular with families because of the choice of houses with gardens available.

 

There are also many apartment complexes, some beachside to choose from. The port itself is well established with lots of international restaurants and there are many chiringuitos alongside the sandy beach.

 

There are three state primary schools within a short driving distance to choose from. The area  is also served by a local bus route which covers neighbouring Sabinillas and Manilva.

 

It is particulary popular for those who work in Gibraltar but prefer to live in Spain but in an purpose built area with facilities on hand.

 

The hotel with it's golf course, gym and spa is popular with both holidaymakers and residents alike. There are all the big name supermarkets nearby and medical centres.
