Mijas Costa is part of Mijas municipality to the east of Marbella. It encompasses Cabopino, La Cala de Mijas and Calahonda.

It is very popular with foreigners, both tourists and permanent residents, predominantly British. For that reason, you will find lots of English speaking services including doctor's surgeries etc.

There is an abundance of modern everyday amenities  including shopping precincts and supermarkets that we take for granted in our home countries. For those who want to live alongside traditional Andalucia, the whitewashed village of Mijas is just a fifteen minute drive away.

There are all kinds of leisure facilities on hand including numerous golf courses, an equestrian centre, a waterpark, a tennis club and all the beach sports that you could posibly imagine including jet skis and surfing.

Don't worry about being stuck indoors in the evening as there are enough bars and restaurants to try a different one every night for months. Schools in the area that have a good reputation are the English Interntional College and St Anthony's College.

It is also home to Spain's only horse racing track. This part of the coast has a very well developed infrastructure and offers all the modern amenities that we are used to.
